The Ascension Women's Cooperative helps us all get in the spirit of the season with the Cookie Walk and Craft Fair, held the first Saturday of December each year. That same day, the youngest shoppers at Ascension are invited to the Children's Christmas Boutique, where they can shop for everyone on their list, with the help of Ascension students. Thanks to all the volunteers, the bakers, the vendors and the shoppers for a wonderful, wintry, festive day.

A group of Ascension Girl Scouts working on their Marian Badge held a baby shower as part of the parish Respect Life month activities. They collected new and gently used equipment.

The AWC held another wonderful Fall Festival on October 17. Chili and pie competitions are the main event -- well, really, eating the chili and pies are the main event. The Religious Ed pumpkin and doughnut sale were held the same morning.

Volunteer Day: July 2010

Volunteers braved the warm day and helped finish a handful of projects around our campus on July 10. Thanks to all who lent a hand!

Many thanks to the "bags guys" lead by Paul Seavey and Brian Fitzgerald who raised over $2,000 for summer work in the gym -- and provided our baggo players with a great spring evening of entertainment.

Three generations of Ascension women gathered for Ladies Night Out at the Carleton Hotel early in May. Carol Ford and Mary Stapleton were honored as the AWC's Women of the Year for their work on Ascension's outreach to the less fortunate.

One hundred and one Ascension children received their First Communion at five special liturgies during the first two weekends in April. Congratulations to the children and their families. Everyone in the parish welcomes you to the table!
