We ask that all couples who are asking to celebrate their marriage at Ascension be connected to the community. The year long process of meeting with Fr. McNally, participating in marriage preparation, and planning the liturgy requires that couples notify the Parish Office as soon as possible to set a date. Marriage Preparation Mentor Couples who have been married at least five years work with couples preparing for marriage and those newly married to help them set a solid foundation for a life-giving, growthful relationship strong enough to weather the storms and challenges ahead. The group also sponsors monthly informational gatherings for those preparing for the sacrament. Mentor couples work with a couple in preparation for marriage for six months to a year. Wedding Music Workshops are conducted throughout the year by the Music Director. The purpose of the workshop is to assist the engaged couple in the planning and preparation of the prayers and music of the wedding liturgy.
